Here’s a story in which time is fluid- and it has two versions of Lex, so you know it must be good. Set (mostly) during the first season, Lex has an odd habit of showing up and trying to break up Lex and Clark (who aren’t even together- yet). It’s very odd, in a good way. I like this story because the plot kept my attention- I was wondering what was going on and how it would all work out. I also particularly like this version of Lex, who doesn’t trust himself not to hurt Clark- with good reason, as it turns out. Lex even flees back to Metropolis in an attempt to cut himself off from Clark. Does it work? Give me a break- those two have a destiny! The epilogue I adore, it really pulls the whole thing together in a way that I found extremely satisfying. Good story- go read.
