This is a very funny, very clever, very in character x-over between BtS and “Hercules: the Legendary Journeys”. I’m not a huge crossover fan, and I have only a passing knowledge of Hercules, but this story still managed to work its way with me. Buffy, Giles and the Scoobs get sent to the world of myth and legend. Buffy immediately falls for Iolaus, Giles spends most of his time protecting her virtue (when not busy fending off the numerous barbarians who want to make Xander their boy toy), Ethan Rayne plots to take over multiple dimensions, and I spend a pleasant several hours laughing my ass off. The character voices are dead on, there’s plenty of plot, lots of action, and great Giles. I had a few quibbles toward the very end, but they were very minor. Overall, this story is simply a blast. It gets bonus points for integrating not only the core cast from Buffy, but a whole lot of familiar faces from Hercules as well.
